We recently got family pictures taken–they turned out great–but, anyway, we had a couple pictures of just Russell and me. We laughed when we saw them because they look very “engagement photo” like. We got the idea that since it is our anniversary, maybe we should send out announcements with these new “engagement” photos on it and also some pictures of us in our wedding attire–worn today. So, I rented Russell a tux and I squished myself into my wedding dress and had Michelle take some pictures at a reception center. In the end, I thought a post would be better than an actual announcement (I didn’t trust that everyone would get it) so here’s some great pictures of “then” and “now”.

A few things have changed in seven years and three kids–my wedding dress doesn’t hang like it used to, we both have a few more wrinkles and our “get ready” time took all of 5 minutes, but some things never change–Russell still can’t hold still for a picture and is talking most of the time or biting my nose, he still looks great in a tux and I still love my dress–but most importantly, we are still very much in love with each other and definitely made the right choice. This was a fantastic activity!

Betsy–I thought the same thing as Ben. There are a few of those photos where you look like mom when she was YOUR age! You guys are hilarious. How fun!
I think the biggest difference is that my face is a LOT fatter now than it was then.
How fun is that! Betsy- you look great and I’m so envious that you can fit into your wedding dress after 7 years and 3 kids! I think you both look better now and I love Betsy’s red striped shirt. Can’t wait to see more of the family pics.

First- I think the engagement/wedding annoucement would have been great. I would have gotten a good laugh out of that and definitely hung it on my wall. Second- your “now” engagment photo is FANTASTIC. You both look so good. Betsy I am love love loving your hair and you just look stunning and beautiful. Third- Russell, I can’t believe your parents let you get married when you were just twelve years old, cause that’s how old you look in your original wedding photos.
